SKIN
The elastic and soft skin allows the palpation of the anatomical landmarks for the correct location of the portals providing a faster and easier experience.
Just like a real surgery the skin can be penetrated with a k-wire and cut with a scalpel. The feel and texture are similar to real skin.
ACROMION
Located inside the simulator so that the surgeon can find the correct portal location. Palpable through the skin.
AXILLARY NERVE
Correctly located in distance from both the acromion and greater tuberosity provides an important reminder of being aware, just like in real cases.
ROTATOR CUFF
The rotator cuff is made of multiple tendons. Each tendon has its own insertion point on the proximal humerus. – Allows you to practice rotator cuff repair.
GLENOID WITH LABRUM AND BICEPS TENDON
Glenoid with labrum and biceps tendon allow to practice on mini open arthroscopy procedures on Slaptear and bankart lesions.
HUMERUS
Humerus are available on request in various densities in order to replicate real life experiences.
MUSCLE
The muscle provide a realistic resistance to cutting.
ADD-ON PATHOLOGIES
Dexter Shoulder includes the possibility to simulate defects due to pathologies.
Various pathologies can be created upon request including lesioned tendons and ligaments.
Dexter allows the user to practice on the most common types of shoulder problems addressed by shoulder surgeons including:
SLAP TEARS
TYPE 2 – Add-on kit Includes Glenoid with Labrum with lesioned biceps tendon
TYPE 4 – Add-on kit Includes Glenoid with Lesioned Labrum
BANKART – Add-on kit includes Glenoid with Labrum lesioned anteriorly
TYPE 2 – Add-on kit includes Glenoid with Labrum with lesioned biceps tendon
TYPE 4 – Bucket handle tear that extends to the biceps tendon (this will create a detached biceps tendon anchor); Add-on kit includes Glenoid with Lesioned labrum
Partial or complete lesion of one (or more) tendons composing the cuff.

- Massive-irreparable lesion
Material (grafts) for:
- Superior capsular reconstruction (can be used in case of massive or irreparable rotator cuff tear)
